? Power generation through waste incineration

Weiming Environment Protection entered waste incineration industry in 1998, making history of BOT investment in waste incineration and power generation using domestically manufactured equipment in China. It has invested, constructed, and managed approximately 20 waste incineration and power generation projects. Weiming Environment Protection is the first company that has obtained Class A domestic waste treatment qualification in China, boasting of strong technological competency and leading project scale.

Weiming Environment Protection refers to the advanced incineration technology from overseas. Taking into consideration of the low heating value and high water content of municipal domestic waste in China, Weiming developed its proprietary flue gas treatment system, technology, and equipment including the “HWM 2-stage reciprocating grate” and “semi-dry neutralizing reaction tower and laminated bag filter”.

2-stage reciprocating grate can effectively meet the needs of domestic waste in China, which burns out and falls into pusher type grate and continuously turns and combusts with the ignition loss of less than 3%. When the heating value of the waste in the burner is no less than 1000kcal/kg and water content is less than 60%, it is able to achieve steady combustion without using additional fuel. In recent 20 years, the technology was widely used by dozens of waster power generation plant in China and achieved great success.

Discharge of waste water, waste gas, and industrial residue must comply with national environment protection regulations. Slag shall be reused in brick making or roadbed laying. Fly ash can be stabilized before it ends up in landfill. Landfill leachate, after being treated, can be taken into municipal pipe network or directly recycled.

Waste landfill is still one of the main ways to address domestic waste in most cities of China. Domestic waste landfill is the approach to control leachate and landfill gas by burial. It features complete environment protection measures and ability to meet with environment protection standard.

In 2017, Weiming Environment Protection invested in and built the landfill area to supplement the domestic waste incineration and power generation PPP program in Jieshou City, which covers an area of 19,100 square meters and adopts a range of advanced technologies, including the double-lamination seepage proof leachate drainage system, underground water drainage system, and biogas drainage system.
